Accessories
Different process technologies always require different drivetrain configurations. Depending on the requirements, brakes, various feedback systems, or other transmission elements such as clutches, geared slewing rings, or similar components are used.
Q-Drives takes care of the entire drive train; we dimension the required components and select the appropriate accessories. Only a perfectly coordinated drivetrain ensures outstanding performance and efficiency during operation, as well as the required service life.
Brakes
Brakes are essential for many applications to ensure reliable deceleration in the event of an emergency stop. Because they are a safety element, their selection and design requires expert knowledge. Q-Drives handles the design and lifetime calculations, as well as the selection of brakes for the application.

Feedback systems
Feedback systems provide the information needed to correctly control a motor or to enable position determination within a system. These encoder systems are developed by Q-Drives and integrated directly into the motors themselves to achieve compact designs. Other encoder systems can also be installed on the motors upon request.
The following encoders are installed for the Mx motor series and wheel hub motors.

Slewing ring toothed
We use toothed slewing rings to achieve rotary movements in situations where space is very limited. Restricted installation space requires careful dimensioning and selection of the correct design to ensure functionality and prevent overload. These slewing rings are often designed with teeth and the drive is mounted directly onto them.
